About Server
The cosmos began with the Universal Eye, whose retreat created The Veil—a shattered boundary letting Primordial malice into reality. Our story is set in Eldwick, 1924, where The Veil is thinnest. The secret militant Veil Watch, comprised of Echoes (Mages), maintains The Grand Lie, protecting the Mutes (unaware) from threats like destructive Exiles and anti-magic Anomalies. Their motto: "The Eye may sleep, but we will be watching."Power is structured by the Seven Disciplines (e.g., Catalyst, Void, Oracle) and the Seven Degrees of rank. Political control rests with the four major Clans (Wick, Sekai, Weaver, Aether). Mages navigate the ISA (school) and Command's politics, with ultimate weapons—the Prometheus Vault artifacts—reserved for high clearance, demanding a terrible cost. Survival requires calculated risk, ruthless action, and sharp intellect.Legacy: 1924 Offers:Deep Power System: Master a Discipline, learning up to 65 Universal and Disciplinary Spells. Progress through the Seven Degrees.High-Stakes Combat: Utilize Tier 3 Extended Ritual Verses and balanced risk/reward Exile summons.Strategic World-Building: Navigate Clan feuds and the moral dilemmas of The Veil Watch's Law of Secrecy.Unique Threats: Fight anti-magic Anomalies and seek powerful, yet flawed, Vaulted Weapons.Detailed Characterization: Encourages sophisticated characters with flaws and loyalties, rewarding strategic depth. OC and RP capacity encouraged.Server Culture: Chill, organized OOC environment with Lore Experts; strict anti-power-gaming rules ensure a quality RP experience. We seek Mages (3rd Degree start) ready to risk sanity and soul. Will you uphold the Veil, or be its ruin?(Note: Requires a lot of reading upon joining. Introduce yourself to access the server and read the rules.)
