About Server
Welcome to the 23rd century, a time well marked by conflict and rebuilding. Humanity once controlled a vast expanse of the void. Prosperous and vast, the United Nations brought forth the Golden Age of human expansion and exceptionalism. United humanity spread out into the stars. However, in the vastness of space, arise other entities and forces. Not all sharing in humanities ideals and goals. The consequence? War... one that would span for 50 years and leave no world untouched. Human civilization would be humbled by outside forces, only by a miracle forcing the alien out. But by then the damage was done, and even the home world itself was brought death and destruction. The past 10 years have then thus been a slow decline of the old United Nations and its regional Mandates. A period known as the Great Regression as its being called has gripped human space. Old governments fall, new ones rise, and opportunity presents itself to those willing to grasp it.Manage everything from your economic power, to your hard fleet power. Develop a simplified yet engaging economy and the 4 main resources. Build a fleet to your tactical liking with our ship modular system. Manage the policies and diplomacy between factions and effect your ideologies. Colonize and expand your territory to new worlds and develop them to improve your economy and influence over the greater galaxy.MAP EXPANSION!!!!!Just a few days ago we had a map expansion. Opening lots of new land for new players to have safe places to set up and get themselves a good economic foundation to continue in the server. Thanks to a server wide robotic crisis beginning at the same time as the map expansion. Keeping old players busy with the crisis, and new ones time to get themselves situated. On top of all that new players will be given FREE STUFF! So really, now is a better time than ever to join Galaxy In Turmoil and get started on your nation!
