The World of Scarlet (16+)

Greetings new blood, and welcome to the World of Scarlet, a dark, low fantasy-themed roleplay server.

The World of Scarlet's roleplay takes place on a singular, massive continent within the world itself, on which the Scarlet Faith dominates. The world has existed for five thousand years, with many different historical ages bringing ups and downs, twists and turns, and unimaginable tragedy to the men and elves of the mortal world, bringing them together into two nations: The Confederacy of Endorik, the nation of the humans and the nation most inundated with the horrific, and the Empire of Mhevar, the nation of the dark elves, which spans such a wide area of land that it is comparable to the greatest empires of our antiquity.

In the World of Scarlet, the main religion has been proven correct, as in the first millenium the Gods themselves began to interact with the world, sending their attendants to change and manipulate the world to their whims and wishes. The gods are all-knowing, all-powerful and the true cosmic concepts of the very world itself, but they are of all ranges of emotion, and so the world drives on with a wide range of events, some ecstatic and some tragic, all to the vision of the Heavens.

But, unbeknownst to the mortal realm, the gods have begun to feud. Luka, the Gatekeeper, he who maintains the connection between the Divine and the Mortal, has begun feuding with his siblings and vying for a godhood of his own. In light of this, the world has been overrun by dark, broken horrors known as Night Creatures, which swarm across the world and appear nigh unbeatable. The Papacy, the most powerful state in the world and the head of the Faith, now faces a daunting challenge: How do they save the world, while keeping from offending the very Gods they worship?
