About 400 years ago, the nation of Lutor was overrun by gods, all fighting for their places at the top, all the while the royal family was cursed with short lifespans and fragile bodies. Scientists and magicians began studying together to figure out how to better the human frame to rise from these oppressions, and there, Alchemical Enhancement was created.

That’s what they say, at least.

In the present day, the gods are merely figments worshiped for peace, and Alchemy is studied at a prestigious Academy with many branches of its sciences. However, there is little peace in the country, as monsters are lurking within the seas and forests of Lutor, and a dark underbelly within the cities causes people to go missing, with the Royals and Academy doing little to stop it.
