Well, fate was a rather silly thing anyway.

Fate wasn't something ever confirmed to be real. The cold room you wake up in, on the other hand? Very much so.

You open your eyes, still fatigued from what on Earth had happened to you in your unconsciousness. The chilly breeze from the air conditioning permeated your skin, though, it wasn't too much of an issue given the blankets you'd been tucked into. You'd always pictured a kidnapping as something much more violent, really. Finding yourself in a neat room with welcoming, neutral colors wasn't how you envisioned this usually went.

Of course, you couldn't just stay in this bed forever. No matter how cold it was, no matter how tired you were, you were still kidnapped and had priorities. Your feet tentatively landed on the ground.

You exit your room to find...
