The dark days ☁️. They ended when Panem shut down the rebellion with the start of the Hunger Games.
The most innocent in the fifteen districts were punished, and forced to fight to the death for sport and entertainment. It was slightly humane in the people who went in training first and got the chance to prove themselves to the Capitol.
But now as the 2nd quarter quell begins, Panem' President prepares to eradicate that glimpse of humanity. Because now, on the 50th anniversary of the Hunger Games, The Capitol and District 0 are being forced to put in their own tributes. A new era, a new tradition, and this isn't one that will end.
Maybe someday, someone will stand up and a rebellion will overcome Panem yet again. But for now, Panem continues the brutal games.
